batman is one of the worlds favorite supper hero's of all time. there is a frank miler comic called year one that came out a few years before the movie batman begins. both of these things are fantastic origin story lines but rather compare witch one is better it is best to take both in at the same time. there are some small details that clash but the movie elaborates on what the movie dose not do year one dose. so i recommend that you most see the movie and read the book to capture the true batman origin story.
star wars, fariy tale
star wars is a vary classic story retold in a different setting. even the many story line of star wars is some thing out of a fairytale the hero's family is killed there is some supreme evil that rules over all over the land. this could be seen in the Chronicles of Narnia or some king Arther story. the other trade marked fairy tale theme is saving a princes this is seen in a number of famous fairy tales. Luke and hon are to vary different people but both a seen in other movies or books.
the birth of a hero is how most hero are born start. there there is a tragic death in the family and they have to take on a task bigger then them selves. star wars is a classic case of a hero there a many similarity between Luke's story. in spider man peters uncle dies and the same happened in star wars i,m not saying that was done on purpose but the tale of a hero is usually done the same way.
magic tour
the book of magic is a vertigo graphic novel it is a four part mini series. DC universe is a very explored universe in the way of supper heroes but there mystical universe not many people know a lot about. the books of magic story line is based on a boy who is told that he could become the greatest magician of all time but be fore he can start he must be shone the DC magical universe. so this book is literally a magical tour of DC.
the joker
the graphic novel killing joke and the movie dark knight are the same in perspectives but there are a few key points that separate. the jokers origin story is not in the movie. there have been many origin story's for the joker and non of them seem to fit which is why i respect the movie version so much. the joker is very similar the dark knight it seems they just took his core character and put it in the movie of all the batman comics.

what i would do
spider man is one of the worlds favorite super heroes he is instantly loved by those who read it. the thing that makes spider man so nationally loved is not his super human quality's but his simple human quality's. i think spider man is the most realistic version of a superhero in a moral senes because when he first gets his amazing superpowers the first thing he dose is try to get some cash by wrestling some one. the only reason he became a superhero is to get back at the criminal who killed his father. i think getting money is the first thing any one would do.

give far side a chances
Comics are large media, there are hero comics and funny comics and ant thing in between. The definition in simple terms is panels or pictures of art that can tell a story. that amazing definition opens all sorts of door’s that allows all sorts of new ideas to be in the comic book family. Wall carvings from Aztec’s telling story’s of myths. a novel called a week of kindness from the 20cenntrury that is considered a master peace of art is actually a comic. But with this definition one door close the one panel comic, being a huge fan of the far side magazine this comic is one of the best. If you changed the definition to a of art with multiple drawings or a picture that complete a story or idea would be fine. This may not work but the far side comics deserve that much.
